InfluxData shut down its GCP Belgium and AWS Sydney regions and deleted the data. Customer after customer says no email ever arrived. Support says restoring Belgium is now impossible. The company’s rep apologized and called a scream test “another form of communication that we overlooked”. Retention set to forever meant until the vendor got bored.
