Fifteen babies and children dead from treatable illnesses between 2015 and 2025. At least five sets of parents lost more than one child. Idaho has exempted faith-healing parents from child neglect law since the 1970s, and Oregon dropped the same exemption thirty years ago with parents then getting their kids treated. Idaho lawmakers responded to the body count by strengthening parental rights instead.
