“The new chip technology packs nearly 100 billion transistors into a fingernail-sized chip.”
IBM stacked 100 billion transistors on a fingernail and slapped a sub-1nm label on it. The nanometer number stopped describing anything physical a decade ago. It’s marketing now. Production is five years out, which in chip-roadmap years means maybe. Real lab work, sure. Don’t expect it in your laptop this decade.
