Nothing on a “2nm” chip measures 2nm. The name is marketing, and the fingernail had to be defined by the PR team. IBM sold its fabs to GlobalFoundries in 2014. It can invent the node but can’t build it. Samsung and Intel will decide whether this ever ships.
