IBM announces chip that natively executes Arm and Z instructions concurrently

IBM cites 22 million Arm developers, which is the whole admission. Software vendors stopped targeting the mainframe and IBM cannot make them come back, so it is bolting Arm onto the die instead. 2 nanometer, 11 cores, 5.7 GHz, and a 2028 ship date. Announcing hardware two years out is how you tell existing customers not to migrate yet.
