Pingora handles more than a trillion requests a day on about a third of the CPU and memory of the NGINX setup it replaced. For one big customer, connection reuse went from 87.1 percent to 99.92 percent. Cloudflare wrote it in Rust and kept it to itself. NGINX got Cloudflare to this scale. Pingora stays in-house.
