Global heat pump sales grew 11% in 2022 and Europe’s grew nearly 40%. The IEA credits subsidies and high natural gas prices. The target is well over 15% a year, and the world just missed it. Heat pumps already heat 1 in 10 homes, and expensive gas did the selling.
