“A jury at the Old Bailey, London’s Central Criminal Court, has just found six of my compatriots — citizens of Bulgaria — guilty of conspiring with the Kremlin to kidnap and possibly murder me and my colleague and friend, Roman Dobrokhotov.”

A London jury convicted six Bulgarians of plotting to kidnap or kill Christo Grozev for the Kremlin. They were run by Jan Marsalek, the Wirecard executive who fled to Moscow. The crew included a beautician and a blood bank driver. Marsalek is still free.
