Grafana now has Loki for logs, Tempo for traces, Mimir for metrics, and Phlare for profiles. Every one is open source, and every one is built to feed the paid Grafana Cloud. That’s the business model, and it’s an honest one. Continuous profiling is the part of observability that actually finds the slow function. The rest mostly tells you something is slow.
