Google offered Epic $147 million over three years to put Fortnite in the Play Store. Its own documents feared Blizzard, Valve, Sony and Nintendo would follow Epic out and cost billions. Fortnite alone was worth $130 to $250 million in direct revenue. Google says it just wanted developers to choose Play. Nobody pays $147 million for a choice they’re sure you’ll make.
