A Paris court ordered Google, Cloudflare and Cisco to return fake DNS answers for about 117 pirate sports domains so Canal+ can protect its Premier League and Champions League rights. Google’s own lawyer worked out the order stops about 800 people. The court said the numbers were irrelevant. Public resolvers now lie on request for a broadcaster, and the next workaround is one settings change away.
