“Pilots in America will not be paying what they’re paying for avgas in Europe today.”
Cars dropped leaded gas in the 1990s. Small planes still burn it over every neighborhood near a general aviation airport. The FAA finally approved GAMI’s G100UL for every piston engine, and the high-compression engines it now covers burn 60 to 70 percent of the avgas. Approval is not availability. Avfuel still has to get it to the pumps, and it will cost more when it arrives.
