“France had more exposed fridge dashboards than the rest of the world combined”
Someone pushed hundreds of French supermarket fridges into defrost mode and a few caught fire. Nobody should be surprised. France had 1,331 Danfoss controllers sitting on the open internet, more than the other 72 countries put together. 85 percent ran firmware with known holes and 527 were models Danfoss stopped supporting. The scans showed this in March. The fix only arrived after the food rotted.
