Sweden’s privacy regulator audited CDON, Coop, Dagens Industri and Tele2 after complaints from NOYB. All four relied on standard contractual clauses to send visitor data to the US, and none of their extra safeguards passed. Tele2 pays 12 million SEK, CDON pays 300,000 SEK, and Google pays nothing. The tool is free because the visitors are the product, and the fine lands on the site that installed it.
