Two voltage regulators and an inverter revived a dead HD60 S off eBay. The dark status LEDs took Ghidra: the firmware skips the lights when the animation data at flash offset 0x300000 is missing. A second “dead” unit Brown bought worked fine and had the same LED fault. Plenty of these boxes get sold as broken over $1 of parts and a blank block of flash.
