Firefox threw a Mozilla VPN ad on top of a user’s own Syncthing admin page and locked the browser UI until he closed it. Mozilla calls it an experiment in communicating with users. The reporter compared it to the Windows 98 spyware people paid him to remove. The one browser selling itself as the privacy option just tested adware on its own users.
