“Late last year, LAist requested samples of MVP-Fx from Cal Fire, the U.S. Forest Service and Perimeter Solutions, which manufactures the product, for the purpose of running an independent analysis for heavy metals. All declined.”

Cal Fire, the Forest Service, and the manufacturer all refused to hand over the red fire retardant. LAist tested it anyway and found arsenic, cadmium, chromium, and lead. The safety data sheet lists no heavy metals. More than 240 drops have hit waterways since 2012.
