“Carbon Robotics has unveiled the third-generation of its Autonomous Weeder, a smart farming robot that identifies weeds and then destroys them with high-power lasers.”
One robot weeds 15 to 20 acres a day. One farmworker weeds about one. It runs without herbicide, which is the real win for the soil. It costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, so the big farms get it first and the laborers lose the work.
