“The conspirators both voted yes, while nobody else in the corporation voted at all.”
Two players took over an EVE Online corporation with a CEO vote that nobody else bothered to cast. After 72 hours they removed the other directors and took 2.23 trillion ISK, more than $22,300 in real money. The shares that made it possible belonged to the corporation’s own founder, who quit in 2018 and was ignored when he asked for his assets back. Any shareholder meeting run by people who do not show up ends the same way.
