“On January 1, 2023, Apple sunsetted (pun intended) the Dark Sky mobile app on iOS.”
Apple bought Dark Sky in early 2020, killed the Android app, then iOS and the web, and folded the “forecast technology” into Apple Weather. The app showed rain at your exact address and scaled temperature bars to the real range instead of stretching every day to fit. Users say the replacement takes more effort and drops cloud cover. Apple bought the forecasts and threw away the design that made them useful.
