Law n. 15.211/2025 hands Brazil’s data protection agency the job of age-gating the internet. The privacy regulator now runs the ID check. The UK tried this under the Online Safety Act, and providers blocked counseling and mental health sites. Adults with no valid ID, facial differences or disabilities get walled off too, which is a strange way to protect anyone.
