Red Hat killed CentOS two years ago and called its users freeloaders. Now it has put RHEL source behind a subscription and threatens to cancel accounts that redistribute it. Rocky and Alma depended on that source. Red Hat built its business on a kernel it didn’t write and wants the GPL to flow in one direction.
