“One leak is a mistake. But when the same type of sensitive key gets exposed again and again, it’s not just bad luck, it’s a sign of deeper negligence.”
A 25-year-old DOGE employee published a private xAI API key on GitHub that granted access to over 50 large language models including Grok-4. This is the same Marko Elez who was fired for racist social media posts and then rehired under pressure from Vice President Vance. He holds access to databases at the Social Security Administration, Treasury, Justice Department, and DHS. If this guy cannot keep an API key out of a public GitHub repo, the question of what else he is leaking from federal systems answers itself.
