DevOps was supposed to make developers and operations work together. It turned into a job title for ops people with a new name. Briggs’s ops team built a paved road with Terraform and Kubernetes, and the developers refused it because they understood their own scripts. The culture fix became a hiring category. Nobody fixed the culture.
