The AI PC was a product category invented by Microsoft and Intel marketing departments because they needed an upgrade cycle. Eighteen months in, the buyers have voted with their wallets and the answer is no. Dell is the first OEM to read the room and stop pretending. The chips are still there. The marketing is back to where it should have been the whole time. Build computers that are good. The AI part can sell itself, or not.
