“Glassdoor now requires your real name and will add it to older accounts without your consent if they learn it, and your only option is to delete your account.”
A user wrote to Glassdoor support, and staff pulled her real name from the email’s From line and pasted it onto a ten-year-old anonymous profile. Then they quietly made her a Fishbowl account too. Three escalations over six days ended in a manager’s “final determination” that the name stays. The entire value of Glassdoor is that employees can trash their bosses without being identified. Glassdoor just told every one of them that anonymity lasts until their next support ticket.
