An AWS Serverless Hero counted the 2024 summits and found at least 80% of the talks were about generative AI. The NYC keynote ran about 98 minutes and every single offering was GenAI. AWS made $24.6 billion in operating income in 2023 selling databases, queues and compute. When the developer conference stops mentioning the product that pays the bills, the budget for it has already moved.
