“I’m full-time on it since 2018, for a monthly income between 800 and 900 €”
Aurélien Pierre forked Darktable into Ansel and cut the GUI code to 53,000 lines without losing much function. About 1,800 users answered the Darktable surveys and said they spend 500 to 1,000 euros a year on photography. Pierre never had more than 240 donors. Users will pay for lenses all day and nothing for the software that develops every photo they take.
