“CrowdStrike sued Delta Air Lines on Friday after a faulty software update prompted a global outage in July.”
Delta says the July 19 update cost it over $500 million, 7,000 cancelled flights and 1.3 million affected travellers. CrowdStrike wants a declaratory judgment that it is not to blame. Its argument is that Delta turned down help from CrowdStrike and Microsoft. The vendor that crashed 8.5 million Windows machines wants a court to call it the customer’s fault.
