“We could have a dozen pinky swears from a dozen tractor manufacturers, but we still wouldn’t have comprehensive repair materials. I’m running out of pinkies and I still can’t fix my damn tractor.”
Colorado’s House passed the first agricultural right to repair bill 44-16. Deere’s answer was a January memorandum with the American Farm Bureau, and Case IH and New Holland signed their own on the day of a key hearing. Legislators ignored both. Colorado had 1,437 farms per Deere dealership last year, and the law does not take effect until January 1, 2025.
