CIA to Sunset the World Factbook

“End programs that don’t advance the agency’s core missions.”

The CIA is killing its 60-year-old World Factbook. No official reason given, but it follows Director Ratcliffe’s pledge to cut anything not serving “core missions.” Publicly useful information about foreign countries apparently doesn’t count. Millions of journalists, researchers, and students used this thing. Now it’s gone because transparency isn’t a priority.
