One country out of the whole UN body said no, and one no is enough. The stated reason is the volunteer Wikimedia Taiwan chapter. WIPO writes the copyright rules that decide what Wikipedia can publish. Beijing gets to keep the world’s largest free encyclopedia out of the room, and it will do it again next year.
