Bucks County DA Matt Weintraub held a press conference calling the vaping video a deepfake, then went on Good Morning America and The Today Show. The police evidence was an officer who “reviewed the video” and a parent’s word. The “nude” was a Snapchat bikini blur from a teenager the police never contacted. A year later the deepfake charges were quietly dropped, and Weintraub is now a judge.
