“Underground said in a post on its dark web leak site that it stole more than 200 gigabytes of data from Casio, including legal documents, payroll information, and personal information of Casio employees.”
Casio called it “system disruption” on October 7 and admitted ransomware days later. The stolen data covers employees, contractors, business partners and people who merely interviewed there. Microsoft ties Underground to Storm-0978, a group BlackBerry says also works for the Russian government. Some Casio systems are still “unusable,” and a job interview is now enough to land you in a leak.
