A CA trusted by Microsoft and nobody else issued a presumably unauthorized certificate for google.com. Edge and other Windows apps will accept it, while Chrome and Firefox won’t. Ayer warned Microsoft in 2021, and the CA’s problems got a public CCADB airing in 2022. Microsoft kept the root and Windows users carry the risk.
