Pragmatic Semiconductor built a 32-bit RISC-V chip from IGZO transistors on plastic, with about 12,600 logic gates. It loses about 4 percent of its speed bent to a 3-millimeter radius. The team pitches it at under a dollar for smart labels and packaging. Sixty kilohertz is plenty for a processor built to go in the trash with the box.
