“Given WP Engine’s behavior, deception, and incompetence since September 20th these terms are no longer sufficient.”
Automattic published the term sheet to prove it never demanded money. The term sheet asks for 8% of WP Engine’s gross revenue every month, with full audit rights, for seven years. The alternative is 8% of revenue paid as salaries for engineers that WordPress.org directs, with access to employee time-tracking. It also bans WP Engine from forking Automattic’s plugins. Publishing a demand for money is a strange way to deny demanding money.
