TSMC is up to $265 billion planned across 12 US facilities and at least 25 Taiwanese suppliers have followed it over. Arizona now wants those companies to fund things that are not fabs. That is a state realizing a chip plant is a chip plant and not an economy. The suppliers came for one customer, and if that customer’s plans move, so do they.
