Anthropic built a model that finds zero-day vulnerabilities in every major operating system and web browser. It discovered a 27-year-old bug in OpenBSD and a 16-year-old flaw in FFmpeg. The model is too dangerous to release publicly. Anthropic is restricting access to security researchers. The uncomfortable truth is that if Anthropic can build this, so can anyone else with enough compute. The defensive application is a race against the offensive one.
