Amazon is turning every Echo and Ring camera into a node on its own mesh network. Your internet connection carries the traffic. The default is on, and the opt-out is buried in two apps with a one-week deadline. Your ISP contract probably bans this kind of sharing, and Amazon is not the one who gets the letter.
