“Customers who are enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other government healthcare program are not eligible for RxPass but can still use government insurance to fill prescriptions at Amazon Pharmacy.”
RxPass costs $5 a month on top of Prime and covers generics for about 80 conditions. Insulin is excluded. So are Medicare and Medicaid patients, the people who take the most pills. Amazon gets the healthy, the insured and the already-subscribed, and locks them into Prime one prescription at a time.
