Amazon is shelving PenPlace and its 350-foot Helix tower after cutting more than 18,000 jobs. Met Park opens in June for 8,000 people in space built for 14,000. Weeks earlier Jassy ordered staff back to the office three days a week. Amazon says the 25,000-job promise to Arlington stands, and promises are cheaper than towers.
