Amazon is dropping Android for its own Linux distro. Vega OS. Less Google, more Amazon lock-in. The real reason is control. Android means Google services and Google updates. Amazon wants to own the whole stack. Users won’t notice. They’ll still be watching Prime Video on a device that tracks everything they do.
